It is based on the VW Up! concept, the debut is set for the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new model should out by the end of 2011 in Europe.
VW is also planning a four-door sedan and a minivan on the same platform to compete with the Prius family. Sources claim the EV with a range of 130km will be on the streets in 2013.
